Get ready for this 4th edition of A Female Direction. In this program, FC Hyena focusses on a variety of influential female directors and their movie(s). Each screening starts with an introduction in which we talk about the director, her style and filmography. Let’s join forces, watch the works by powerful women and push the world into a female direction.

Ginger & Rosa (2012)
This work by Sally Potter is set in London, 1962. Two teenage girls - Ginger and Rosa (played by Elle Fanning and Alice Englert) - are inseparable; they play truant together, discuss religion, politics and hairstyles, and dream of lives bigger than their mothers' frustrated domesticity. But, as the Cold War meets the sexual revolution, and the threat of nuclear holocaust escalates, the lifelong friendship of the two girls is shattered - by the clash of desire and the determination to survive.
