Pride Ambassador 2019, Amber Vineyard, Mother of the House of Vineyard and Pioneer of the Dutch Ballroom Scene invites you to Walk with Pride as we remember Queer activists and Icons of our past and present while celebrating young queer youth paving ways for our futures.

Balls are an intentional safe space for queer and trans people of color. Some may know about Vogue through Madonna, but the ballroom scene was created by and for African-American and Latinx LBGTQ+ communities, notably trans womxn and gay men, in Harlem, New York. All visitors will respect and celebrate the Ballroom culture and its roots. If you are not from this community - as a white and/or straight ally - please be mindful of the space you take up. Respect the participants and their space. If you want to walk the Ball, make sure you take some time beforehand to learn what it means to walk and what the category asks for.

Please note that we will have Safety Buddies present to make sure the safe space is protected at all times. If you need any special assistance, make sure to email us beforehand so the organization can help you with arrangements.
