A beautiful aspect of being human is that we have the power to effect change. When you begin to take action to bring awareness to the causes you care about, you become an activist in the process. Becoming an activist and fighting for change is certainly not always an easy task, but the rewards far outweigh the downfalls; But how do you actually become an activist? Is there a “how to be an activist for dummies” manual I need to follow?

During the COC Shakespeare Club, Trans Pride committee will be hosting an event called “HOW TO BE AN ACTIVIST” Learn from local and International Activists as they share with us on talking points such as; What is activism?, Choosing your battles, Language and strategies, Self-care. These and other subject matters will be discussed as we strive to develop ourselves in being the change we wish to see.
